Frozen Piece
After your 6th move, one non-king piece on the affected side freezes for the rest of the match. It cannot move, capture, attack, defend, or give check. It remains on the board and blocks lines; normal moves cannot capture it.

Turn the constraint into a lever.
Plan around it
- Keep the frozen piece useful as a shield.
- Shift the plan to the pieces still breathing.
Keep in mind
- Protect it if it guards something important.
- Use it to anchor the structure.
